The Washington Capitals got another injury scare on Thursday against the Ottawa Senators involving a key defenseman in Trevor van Riemsdyk, who took a slapshot to the head in the second period.

Van Riemsdyk was in visible pain and after the whistle blew to stop play, he immediately went to the bench and down the tunnel. He went straight down the tunnel after the incident.

Luckily, he came back for the third, and ended up playing hero in a 3-2 overtime win.
