ARLINGTON, V.A. — The Washington Capitals got a positive sign on the injury front on Thursday at morning skate, as T.J. Oshie took the ice in a regular jersey, indicating a step in the right direction.

Oshie was in a non-contact jersey at Wednesday's optional skate. The 36-year-old has missed the last three games with an upper-body injury he suffered back on Dec. 17 against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

In the second period of the game against Toronto, Oshie was backchecking and pulled up in visible discomfort. He made his way to the bench and after standing for a moment, used the boards to make his way down the tunnel.
