Washington Capitals forward T.J. Oshie will miss his homecoming game against the Seattle Kraken on Sunday.

Just one day after coming off the injured reserve and suiting up for Saturday’s 4-0 win over the Sharks, the Washington State native is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Oshie was strong in his first game back, dishing an assist and a whopping eight hits through 14:15 minutes. It marked No. 77’s return from a lower-body injury he suffered blocking a shot against the Detroit Red Wings on Oct. 27. According to Tarik El-Bashir, Oshie was still in a walking boot on Friday but was skating.

The Capitals recalled right wing Brett Leason prior to the matchup with Seattle, and he will draw in for Oshie. With Oshie out of the lineup, Washington is back down to 12 healthy forwards.

Here are the Capitals’ lines against the Kraken:

Alex Ovechkin-Evgeny Kuznetsov-Conor Sheary

Axel Jonsson-Fjallby-Connor McMichael-Tom Wilson

Daniel Sprong-Aliaksei Protas-Garnet Hathaway

Carl Hagelin-Nic Dowd-Brett Leason

Martin Fehervary-John Carlson

Dmitry Orlov-Nick Jensen

Trevor van Riemsdyk-Justin Schultz

Vitek Vanecek

Ilya Samsonov

Vitek Vanecek will start in net for his revenge game against Seattle. Meanwhile, former Washington netminder Philipp Grubauer gets the call for the Kraken.
