RALEIGH, N.C. — The Washington Capitals arrived at Carter-Finley Stadium in style.

Rocking D.C.-themed Letterman jackets, Washington arrived at 5:30 p.m. carrying footballs. It was T.J. Oshie's idea, and the team worked with a D.C.-based apparel brand, DC proper, to create the jackets that featured the District's flag and player numbers. On the right sleeve are the names of the players' children, and on the left is the Stadium Series logo. The "Weagle" is prominently on the back of the jacket.

DC Proper, created by A Life Well Dressed co-founder Michael Warren, "celebrates the legacy, history and culture of the nation's capital."

A limited number of similar jackets will be available at the team store at Capital One Arena starting Feb. 21 against the Detroit Red Wings. Washington will wear their Stadium Series jerseys at home that game. A select number of autographed jackets will also be included in future fundraisers.
