Capitals Prospects: Cristall’s 3-Point Night; Keller Shines In QMJHL Debut

Less than 24 hours removed from heading back to the WHL, Washington Capitals prospect Andrew Cristall picked up right where he left off.
Having ranked among the league’s top point producers a season ago, Cristall tallied three points for the Kelowna Rockets Saturday night — his first game action of the season.
Cristall assisted on the game’s first goal, finding Tij Iginla — son of Jarome — to get Kelowna on the board first. Cristall also assisted on the Rockets’ third goal of the game before scoring the game-winning goal.

The Capitals also may have been on to something when they selected a relatively unknown French goalie in this summer’s draft.
Antoine Keller, who the team selected with the No. 206 pick this past June, saved 26 of 28 shots faced in his QMJHL debut Saturday, helping lead the Acadie-Bathurst Titan to a 3-2 win over the Charlottetown Islanders.
For his efforts, Keller was named the game’s second star.
