Aube-Kubel Out For Capitals-Canadiens, Snively In For First Time Since Nov. 15
The Washington Capitals will see Nicolas Aube-Kubel draw out as a healthy scratch. Joe Snively is in vs. the Montreal Canadiens.
WASHINGTON — The Washington Capitals will see Nicolas Aube-Kubel miss the New Year's Eve matchup with the Montreal Canadiens, as the forward will be a healthy scratch.
Aube-Kubels tarted warmups on Saturday and then left before line rushes. Joe Snively will draw in for him on the third line alongside Lars Eller and Marcus Johansson. It's Snively's first game since Nov. 15 and it will be his sixth game of the year.
