Washington Capitals prospect Hendrix Lapierre is finally back in the mix for the Hershey Bears after dealing with an injury over the last couple of weeks.

Lapierre had left the Bears' Feb. 26 game against the Belleville Senators in the second period with an undisclosed upper-body injury. The injury came after the 21-year-old navigated a few healthy scratches amid inconsistencies and frustration he had with his game. Lapierre missed the last seven games, but had been skating and working his way back. He rejoined the mix on Saturday, slotting in as the third-line center against the Rochester Americans.

While he's dealt with adversity, Lapierre had a strong start and has looked impressive in his rookie AHL campaign. Through 49 games so far, he has 10 goals and 14 assists.

As Lapierre worked his way back, he saw roommate and teammate Vincent Iorio suffer an upper-body injury after returning form a three-game call-up with the Capitals. It is unclear exactly what happened.

In addition to Iorio, fellow Washington prospects Lucas Johansen and Henrik Borgstrom are dealing with upper-body ailments.
