Washington Capitals forward Evgeny Kuznetsov has left Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Wild after taking a high hit from Matt Dumba.

Washington Capitals forward Evgeny Kuznetsov has left Sunday's game against the Minnesota Wild after taking a high hit from Matt Dumba.
Kuznetsov was skating in the defensive zone and was making a pass when Dumba went in for a big hit, catching Kuznetsov up high in the head and shoulder area with his shoulder. Kuznetsov didn't see Dumba coming.
T.J. Oshie fought with Dumba after the play, but there was no penalty for the hit. The Capitals went shorthanded after Oshie received an instigating penalty and 10-minute misconduct. Minnesota struck shortly after the power play expired.

Kuznetsov got up under his own power and went down the tunnel. He was clutching at his shoulder following the play.
