‘When You Hungry, You Hungry’: Ovechkin Delivers Papa John’s Pizza At Capitals Practice
ARLINGTON, V.A. — Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin swapped out his stick and gloves for a handful of pizza boxes.
The 36-year-old was wearing his game gear and skating with Papa John’s following Washington’s skate on Wednesday. He was in high spirits, sporting his classic missing-tooth smile while carrying a couple of boxes for a promo.
“You want, guys?” he asked.
Still wearing his skates, the Great 8 dropped a pizza off in the media room.
“When you hungry, you hungry,” he smiled.
The pizza was sausage with cheese-stuffed crust. Washington Hockey Now can confirm that it tastes great.

Ovechkin leads the NHL with 11 goals so far this season and has 21 points through 12 games. He’s off to the best start of his career.
