Washington Capitals winger TJ Oshie didn’t use words to welcome Columbus’ Adam Fantilli to the NHL.

Oshie found the No. 3 overall pick in June’s draft on the ice Saturday, leveling him in the final minutes of the second period and sending Fantilli’s stick flying.

A skirmish occurring after the collision resulted in Alex Ovechkin and Blue Jackets defenseman Erik Gudbranson each collecting roughing penalties.

Then, in the final seconds of the period, Tom Wilson and Blue Jackets captain Boone Jenner battled, resulting in Wilson earning a roughing penalty and Jenner collecting an unsportsmanlike penalty.
