Capitals Host Penguins To Open 2023-24 Schedule

A season-opening matchup with the Pittsburgh Penguins highlights the Washington Capitals’ 2023-24 schedule, which was released by the NHL on Tuesday.

The Penguins will come to Capital One Arena on Oct. 13. The Capitals will host the Calgary Flames three days later before stops in Montreal and Ottawa on the season’s first road trip.

The Stanley Cup champion Vegas Golden Knights will take their lone visit to Washington on Nov. 14.

Presumptive No. 1 overall pick Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks head to the nation’s capital on March 9 — their lone trip to Washington.

The Capitals will end the regular season in Philadelphia, taking on the Flyers on April 16.
