The Washington Capitals announced their 2023-24 preseason schedule Wednesday, and will host the first two games of the six-game slate.

The Capitals will open the preseason schedule playing host to the Buffalo Sabres on Sept. 24, before hosting the Detroit Red Wings on Sept. 28. The Capitals then start a three-game road stint, making stops in Detroit (Sept. 30), Boston (Oct. 3) and Columbus (Oct. 5).

The preseason finale is scheduled for Oct. 7, when the Capitals return home to host the Columbus Blue Jackets.
