Capitals forward T.J. Oshie

It looks like the Washington Capitals may be dealing with another injury, as T.J. Oshie went down the tunnel early in the first period of Saturday’s game against the Nashville Predators.

Per The Washington Post’s Samantha Pell, Oshie was helped to the dressing room. Anthony Mantha is playing in the Oshie spot right now while he is absent from the bench.

It is unclear what happened to the forward, who skated just two shifts and had one hit through 1:51 minutes. His last shift came on the power play, where he appeared a bit uncomfortable before heading off.

The 35-year-old hasn’t been immune to adversity or injuries over the last couple of seasons. He suffered a myriad of upper and lower-body injuries last season that limited him to just 44 games in the regular season. And prior to the start of the 2022-23 campaign, Oshie underwent core surgery.

Through eight games to open the season, Oshie has two goals and three assists.
