Capitals Sign Ryan Hofer To Entry-Level Deal

As the Washington Capitals prepare for the trade deadline and look to the future, the are addressing their prospects, too, and one of those is Ryan Hofer.

Washington has signed Hofer to a three-year, entry-level contract. The deal carries an AAV of $851,666 in the NH.L and $82,500 in the AHL.

Hofer, an overager, was taken 181st overall in the 2022 NHL Draft. In 53 games this season with the WHL's Kamloops Blazers and Everett Silvertips, he has registered 36 goals and 22 assists for 58 points.

The 6-3, 192-pound forward is a versatile player and strong skater who loves to shoot the puck and can make crafty plays on the fly. He is a big body that can battle hard at both ends of the ice and knows how to get to the right areas. Hofer also positions himself very well on the ice.
