Capitals Injury Update: Orlov Joins Team In Seattle

The Washington Capitals got a positive sign on Thursday, as Dmitry Orlov joined the team in Seattle as the club continues a six-game road swing.

He is taking part in the morning skate ahead of the tilt with the Kraken, per The Washington Post’s Samantha Pell. However, it’ doesn’t look like he’ll play Thursday, as he was skating on an extra pairing with Alex Alexeyev, per Pell.

Orlov has missed the last 11 games as he deals with a lower-body injury. He last played on Nov. 5 against the Arizona Coyotes, where he left action early as he dealt with the ailment. It is unclear what the exact nature of the injury is.

In 13 games this season, the 31-year-old has five assists and a +/- of plus-3. He is currently on the IR.
