The Washington Capitals have extended their affiliation with the ECHL’s South Carolina Stingrays, general manager Brian MacLellan announced Thursday.

The affiliation agreement has been extended through the 2025-26 season, according to a press release.

“We are pleased to renew our partnership with the South Carolina Stingrays,” MacLellan said in a statement. “For several seasons, the Stingrays have provided our prospects a winning environment in which they can develop, and we are looking forward to continuing our affiliation.”

The ECHL squad, which is a step below the AHL, has been consecutively affiliated with the Capitals since 2014.
