ARLINGTON, V.A. — After a rough but hard-earned win over the Detroit Red Wings, the Washington Capitals saw two key players in Dmitry Orlov and T.J. Oshie go down with injuries. Both are day-to-day with injuries, per the team.

Orlov suffered a lower-body injury, those it’s unclear what the nature of the injury. Meanwhile, Oshie suffered an upper-body injury in the second period of Wednesday’s preseason tilt.

While going for the puck, Oshie took a hard hit from Joe Veleno and went awkwardly into the boards. He took a moment to get up but skated off under his own power before heading down the tunnel. Oshie did not return.
