Orlov Exits Capitals’ Tilt With Coyotes With Lower-Body Injury

Capitals defenseman Dmitry Orlov

WASHINGTON — Washington Capitals defenseman Dmitry Orlov is questionable to return after suffering a lower-body injury on Saturday against the Arizona Coyotes.

Orlov was out there for the start of the game, but hadn’t played after the first period. It is unclear exactly what happened. The team is calling it a lower-body injury.

It is unfortunate fo the Capitals, who are already without Nicklas Backstrom, Tom Wilson, T.J. Oshie, Connor Brown, Carl Hagelin, Beck Malenstyn and John Carlson. If Orlov is out, that leaves Washington without two top defensemen.
