ARLINGTON, V.A. — Washington Capitals goaltender Darcy Kuemper left practice early on Saturday for an undisclosed reason.

Kuemper started practice, but about seven minutes in, went over to the bench. After a discussion with a trainer and trying to go back out, Kuemper made his way off and to the dressing room.

Meanwhile, Alex Ovechkin did not skate as he took a maintenance day, while Nick Jensen (upper-body) did not skate.
