After losing Martin Fehervary in the second period, the Washington Capitals saw another player exit Saturday’s tilt with the Calgary Flames just minutes later, as Darcy Kuemper has now left with an apparent injury.

Charlie Lindgren has taken over the crease late in the second period as Kuemper headed down the tunnel.

Kuemper appeared to take an elbow to the head after getting into a bit of a scuffle in front with Tyler Toffoli. It could be concussion protocol.

Here’s a look at what happened:

There are no updates yet, but it remains to be seen if he will return for the third. He stopped 24 of 26 shots (.923 save percentage) before leaving the game.

Washington is currently also without Fehervary, who suffered an apparent injury following a big hit from Milan Lucic along the boards.
