The Washington Capitals could again be without the services of Alex Ovechkin, who is still dealing with a lower-body injury and is officially a game-time decision against the Minnesota Wild.

Head coach Peter Laviolette said on Sunday that the captain is questionable for the matinee against the Wild. He did make the trip with the team, though, and whether he is capable of playing remains to be seen.

"We're hopeful," Laviolette said.

Ovechkin did not practice on Saturday and took a maintenance day. He also took a maintenance day on Monday and did not play on Tuesday against the New York Rangers.

Through 64 games this season, Ovechkin had 37 goals and 28 assists. He is currently on a three-game point streak, and despite his apparent lingering injury, played the last two games against the Buffalo Sabres and St. Louis Blues. The 37-year-old has missed a total of six games this season, with two of those being due to a lower-body injury.

Washington has lost all six games without Ovechkin this season and the last nine overall with No. 8 out of the mix.
