The Washington Capitals are making a tweak to the lineup for Saturday’s tilt against the Calgary Flames, and it impacts the blue line.

Alex Alexeyev, who has played one game this season and has been a scratch since dressing on Nov. 9 against the Pittsburgh Penguins, is in vs. the Flames. Matt Irwin will be a healthy scratch after drawing in the last 11 games for Dmitry Orlov, who’s dealing with a lower-body injury.

Alexeyev has played in two NHL games, putting up one hit and a +/- of minus-1 while averaging 11:12 minutes. He will play on the third pairing with Trevor van Riemsdyk.

Here are the lines:

Alex Ovechkin-Dylan Strome-Conor Sheary

Sonny Milano-Evgeny Kuznetsov-T.J. Oshie

Marcus Johansson-Lars Eller-Anthony Mantha

Aliaksei Protas-Nic Dowd-Garnet Hathaway

Erik Gustafsson-John Carlson

Martin Fehervary-Nick Jensen

Alex Alexeyev-Trevor van Riemsdyk

Darcy Kuemper

Charlie Lindgren
