The 2024-25 Capitals Season Awaits

With the alumni game now in the rearview mirror, the first game of the regular season is straight ahead. The anticipation for the players and organization built over this past week, but tomorrow is the home opener and first matchup for the Washington Capitals. They start their 50th Anniversary campaign with a game against the New Jersey Devils. The scheduled puck drop in Capital One Arena is 7:00 p.m. Charlie Lindgren will be between the pipes for Washington. The Devils arrive to D.C. off a loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs. This came after the club swept their Prague series against the Buffalo Sabres.

There are many questions about how this Capitals team will look. They have quite a few new players who will make their franchise debut including Jakob Chychrun, Andrew Mangiapane, and Pierre-Luc Dubois. These questions will start to be answered tomorrow night. The 2024-25 campaign is upon us.
