Jack Hughes Shuts Down Reporter Who Questions Devils’ Consistency

New Jersey Devils forward Jack Hughes and his club is looking for 10 straight wins as they face the Montreal Canadiens on Monday, and he wasn’t having any of the media critiquing the club.

When asked about the Devils finding more consistency through 60 minutes of play, Hughes had a confused look and gave a blunt answer.

“I mean, we’re on a nine-game heater, I’d say we’re doing okay,” he said with a small laugh.

Hughes has five points in his last four games and 15 points in 15 games so far in the campaign, putting him on pace for a career-high 82-point season. Meanwhile, New Jersey is miles ahead in the Metropolitan Division with a record of 12-3-0.
