The Hershey Bears — the AHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals — open the Eastern Conference Finals on Tuesday night against the Rochester Americans.

The Bears, who emerged from the previous round as the Atlantic Division Champions, are 6-1 in the entire 2023 Calder Cup Playoffs. As a result, bettors on PowerPlay have the Bears as a slight favorite.

The Americans, who are the AHL affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres, most recently swept the Toronto Marlies to win the Northern Division crown.

The winner of the best-of-7 series will advance to the Calder Cup Championship.
